Evaluating of Temperature Difference between Target and Background Using Measurement and Simulation
Original language description
Temperature difference between target and background has critical role of thermal imaging system in surveillance applications. It is the difference in target and background temperature that causes the visual contrast. To assess it, measurement of thermal image and thermal simulation program have been used. This paper presents the experimental measurement of thermal difference, the basic of thermal imaging simulation and its application for calculation of temperature difference. Finally, the impact of adverse weather conditions such as fog, rain on the thermal temperature is also calculated and presented in the paper.
