Stress of a Vehicle Propulsion Mechanism

  • Original language description

Military vehicles have to meet requirement of mobility. Vehicle capability to overcome heavy terrain (mud, snow, etc.) and terrain obstacles increase vehicle survivability in a battlefield. Experiments, field tests and operation data mining are common manners for vehicle mobility evaluation and dependability prediction, yet current military vehicles of Czech armed forces have small value of driven distance and collected data should not be adequate for analysis and malfunction prediction. From this point of view, the army need another tool for prediction of vehicle malfunction. Utilizing of simulating technologies is next possible and progressive manner for the vehicle analysis. This paper is focus on application of simulating technology in process of vehicle propulsion mechanism evaluation.
