Original language description
The article deals with the basic types of critical infrastructure (CI) objects that have been categorized and specified during the research on the project of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic “Research, Development, Testing and Evaluation of Critical Infrastructure Elements”. During the initial phase of the research, several factors were taken into account when classifying the CI objects: their size, their significance for the functioning of the state and the time. The introduction of the article is focused on a brief summary of CI protection from the different points of view: suitable building materials, different types of explosives and diagnostic methods and techniques applicable for the testing of CI structures before and after the explosion load.
