Original language description
Coded modulation techniques are a very promising technique for satellite broadcasting, as it could corrects error nearing the theoretical Shannon limit. From the viewpoint, Second Generation Digital Video Broadcasting via Satellite channels using forward error correction is the most innovative approach towards the modern research. However, the conventional research focused on simulations of the subsystem or full simulation in the additive white Gaussian noise channel. In the article, based on a description of standard document, the end-to-end simulation with single input stream over fading channel was described and simulated. The whole communication channel is modelled in the simulation, including the Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem and low-density parity-check coder/decoder, mod/demodulation, physical layer frame blocks and communication channel. In order to have the accuracy simulation in fading channels, built-in Matlab functions and basic algorithms used in the program. The simulation results on the constellation diagram provide an overview of Second Generation Digital Video Broadcasting system in Rayleigh and Rician channels. Furthermore, obtained results were visually quantitated and discussed.
