Emulated Memristive System Based Passive MIN/MAX Circuit
Original language description
In this paper, the operation of a memristive- system-based voltage-mode passive MIN/MAX circuit is presented and verified. The proposed n-inputs circuit is composed only of passive components - bipolar memristive systems with a threshold. The advantages of the presented idea are its simplicity and no power requirements. The traditional approach that exploits diodes and active components exhibits unwanted behavior due to the commutation of diodes and the limitation of parameters of active components. The functionality of the proposed idea is confirmed by SPICE simulations. Finally, the proposed circuit functionality is verified by measurements performed on an assembled prototype. The prototype uses a dual-port electronic component emulator that replaces memristive systems that are currently unavailable on the market.
