Methodology for Evaluating the Combat Capability of Armored Vehicle
Original language description
The contribution deals with the issue of selected methods of assessing the extent of damage to armored vehicles on tracked and wheeled chassis. Historical connections, changes, place and role of armored vehicles, tanks and armored personnel carriers from the beginning of the 20th century to the present are shown here in connection with new weapon systems and changes in the tactics of combat operations. The main attention is paid to the systematic evaluation of damage to armored equipment, which is understood as a technical system. The degree of combat damage is determined by the labor involved in repairing the resulting damage, ranging from normal first-level repairs to irreversible losses.
