Original language description
This paper deals with the evaluation of the dimensional accuracy and surface texture of 16MnCr5 steel after the plasma and gas nitriding process. Surface texture analysis was performed using a more complex, multi-parameter evaluation method that describes changes in surface microgeometry. In the experiment, it was confirmed that the chosen chemical-heat treatment processes have an effect on the change of surface dimension and texture. These changes were mainly manifested by an increase in the values of the monitored parameters compared to the ground (reference) surfaces, which has a direct impact on the functional properties of the components. The results of the experiments also showed that the selected chemical-heat treatment processes lead to an increase in the degree of accuracy of IT respectively a deterioration in the geometric accuracy of the components.
