    Hilbert Transform of Incoherently Sampled Signal

    The aim of this paper is to point out the problem of accuracy of Hilbert transform if the incoherently sampled signal is used. It shows that in such a case, where the signals cannot be viewed as band-limited, inaccurate conversion of the real valued signal to the analytic one occurs. This is due to the use of the simplified notion that even in this case it is sufficient to suppress the negative frequency components of the DFT frequency spectrum. For a general incoherently sampled signal, the problem of using the Hilbert transform is not solved. The paper shows a way to solve such a problem for a sinusoidal signal.
