We carried out a retrospective analysis on a series of 1743 plasma doners during the period from January 1999 to February 2004 to determine the frequency of monoclonal gammopathies occurrence. In the whole group, we observed 0,68% occurrence and in the subgroup of doners over 40 years of age even 1,18% occurrence of the serum paraprotein. We have presented our recommendations for the screening of monoclonal gammopathies in blood doners.

V retrospektivní analýze s 1743 pacienty (1 pacient = 1 vzorek plasmy) během let 1999 - 2004 jsme prokázali nárůst frekvence výskytu monoklonálních gamapatií. V celém souboru jsme prokázali 0,68 % výskyt a v podskupině pacientů starších 40 let dokonce 1,18% výskyt paraproteinu.
