    Analysis of fatigue fracture mechanism in nitrided machine parts. Quantification of fatigue life in individual stages fo fracture. Correlation of the way of fracture nucleation with fatugue life of tested part. With respcet to the nucleation manner, twoin order different lives populations of tested specimens were obtained; nucleation on inclusion located bellow nitrided layer resulted into long life of specimen. Nucleation on the surface shorten the fatigue life more than 10 times.
