Thermal Proceses while Pouring into Ceramic Shells and their Numerical Simulation
Original language description
In the thermal regime of the ceramic shells manufactured by the lost wax process, the heat transfers by radiation and convention into the mold surrounding are dominating, while the portion of heat accumulated by the mold is less important. In the molds having more casting cavities there is also a very strong impakt of the mutual influence of these individual solidified castings leading to the non- symmetrical heat flows towards the mold axe (inside) and out of the mold (outside). The temperature curves have been measured by the thermocouples in both castings and also in the walls of shells. The found data have been then used as significant temperatures in the numerical simulation of the thermal regime during the both pouring and solidification phases ofthe process.
