Global Change Research Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences (CzechGlobe) focuses among others on following issues: climate analysis and climate modelling; prediction of drought and other extreme events; appropriate adaptation strategies to mitigate the negative consequences; assessment of the current state and alterations in vegetation in the changing climate conditions through the use of aerial photography; simulation of the environment expected in the context of the global change; identifying plant responses and proposing measures for their cultivation; evaluation of the social impacts of the global change, including the prediction of risk management and further related topics.
