The essay deals with the selling off and compulsory donations of collection items from collection holdings of the Jewish Museum in Prague (in the years 1950-1994 the State Jewish Museum in Prague). It describes the circumstances and mechanism of the interventions into the collections holdings of JMP and summarizes the available information about the fate of particular collection items with particular focus on the sale of Torah scrolls in 1963-1964. The essay is the very first on the topic of the state´sinterventions into the collections holdings of Bohemian and Moravian museums.

Studie se zabývá odprodeji a dary sbírkových předmětů ze sbírek Židovského muzea v Praze (v letech 1950-1994 Státního židovského muzea v Praze). Popisuje okolnosti a mechanismus zásahů do sbírek ŽMP a rekapituluje dostupné informace o osudu konkrétních sbírkových předmětů se zvláštním zřetelem k odprodeji svitků Tóry v letech 1963-1964. Jedná se o vůbec první studii k tématu zásahů státu do sbírkových fondů českých a moravských muzeí.
