This paper describes single-hit decision tables role in knowledge engineering. These tables can be widely used in many agricultural knowledge-based systems. They are another technique used for knowledge representation and consist of some conditions, rules and actions. This format is also readily readable and editable by non technical users. Decision tables allow relatively complex logical relationships to be represented in an easily understood form and processed efficiently. They can serve as a good development tool, a good documentation tool and a good visual explanation.
