Measuring Regional Disparities in the Czech Republic
Original language description
To implement good regional policy it is really important to know very well interregional disparities in the country. Between two mostly monitored indicators of regional disparities belong unemployment and GDP. This article focuses on GDP, especially regional GPD per capita in PPP, in the Czech Republic. There exist many ways how to measure regional disparities. To measure regional disparities among NUTS III regions there are used standart statistical indicators, especially coefficient of variation, andinequality indexes, especially Gini coefficient and Lorenz curve, in this paper.
