The southern Bohemian region belongs, thanks to it´s position and natural conditions, among very important regions of the Czech Republic.This article deals with entreprises in the South Bohemian region, it focuses on a smaller regional units too, that means on entreprises working in the area of NUTS 3. The aim of this paper is to analyze these entreprises in relation to their main business activities, the analysis is focused on the portion with which these entreprises contibute to added value of analyzed region. The results of prepared analysis may help to a better survey of entreprises in the south of Bohemia, to their importance for regional development, to show which sectors contribute more or less to added value of choosen region and how many entreprises make these sectors.
