Abstract The paper analyses the impacts of EU membership on agrarian foreign trade of newly joined countries. In this case it deals with the countries of the European Community in 2004 and 2007 ? thus, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Malta, Cyprus, Bulgaria, and Romania. From the time point of view, the paper covers the period of 1995 ? 2008. It maps changes in the territorial structure of agrarian trade of these countries in the past decade, and focuses mainly on the changes which affected the territorial structure of agrarian trade in the context of external trade (extrastat). The paper is conducted within the frame of research grant MSM 604 607 0906.
