Mathematical models for decision-making about ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 under risk and fuzziness
Original language description
Decision-making is one of the most important managerial activities. Every day decisions differ by their importance and complexity. Companies are facing strong competitiveness and they meet with problems based on uncertainty of the information. Growing and changing development generates significant pressure which is based on challenges. Companies can gain stronger competitive position by implementation of the ISO norms 900 and 14001. Number of certified organizations growth rapidly in last two decades. The evolution in the Czech Republic copied the evolution and reached leading position in ISO. In our contribution we will demonstrate the application of decision-making model based on fuzzy information. Fuzzy decision model (game against nature) will be used for the choice of the best decision for the following problem: Management has to decide if implement ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001. Finding out if customers are oriented towards the ISO norms is based on the progress of number of certifie
