Original language description
This paper analyzes the development of prices in the world, European and Czech food markets. The goals of the paper are to identify general developmental trends of food prices in individual markets, subsequently compare these trends to each other, and then especially to study the relationship between the global and European Union market. The following analysis enables us to understand price developments in individual markets and shows the development of prices of chosen commodities in the global market(meat, milk, wheat, petroleum products, sugar). Emphasis is placed on the development of food prices in the Czech market. In the chosen segment of food commodities (pork, milk, eggs, butter, bread, etc.), the development of prices over the last 12 monthsis presented, which shows an overall increase in global markets.
