At present time the topic of commodity item "Milk and dairy products" becomes more recent. It is not only a business area in the national level ensuring self-sufficiency of domestic market and sales in the territory of the Czech Republic, but it means also a topic that influences in great deal the whole agrarian foreign trade of the Czech Republic and in result has impact on the total balance of foreign trade. The aim of this study is work out a proposal of measurement for individual market participantsand to find out business opportunities on selected world markets and assess the current location of the commodity item "Milk and dairy products" in the field of agrarian foreign trade of the Czech Republic. Based on a detailed analysis it was found thatthe production base for commodity "Milk and dairy products" can originate in a wide range of alternative primary producers from small producers to high capacity cowsheds.
