University education is currently of key importance for raising the overall literacy of the population. The rising number of university students and graduates affects the situation on the labour market in the long term and the overall status of employment in every country. A negative economic situation forces university students to seek job opportunities even in the course of their studies. The presented article addresses the issue of students? work activities and forms of their economic activities in this phase of life. The preferences and expectations of students taking bachelor?s degrees at a faculty of economics are examined in detail in terms of future work application. A questionnaire survey and contingency tables were selected as the basic methods of research. The results of the survey provide an insight into the attitudes of this population group.
