UTILIZATION OF THE RURAL TOURISM SERVICES IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Original language description
The demand for touristic services with respect to the different groups of tourists is crucial for planning the investments, marketing and support from authorities. In the Czech Republic there is a significant lack of exact data on rural tourism. The present study, based on a questionnaire survey, aims to provide a deeper insight into the profiles of tourists. The results contain the main features of the tourists and demonstrate the relation between social demographic characteristics and the services requested. The survey identifies three clusters: independent tourists favouring shorter stays more times per year, traditional tourists preferring privacy and longer stays, and flexible active tourists.
