ANALYSIS OF BUSINESS EXPENDITURES ON RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Original language description
This paper provides an overview of Business Expenditures on R&D (BERD) collected from the Frascati Manual Surveys compiled with the database of firms´ economic results (P5-01) carried out by the Czech Statistical Office. The role of R&?D investments represented by knowledge accumulation is studied using panel data econometric estimates carried out on a subset of firms operating in processing industries. The early results confirm the hypothesis of the positive role of R?&D expenditures on firms´ sales.
