Support of Foreigners’ Integration in The Czech Republic by a Non-Profit Sector
Original language description
From a global point of view, migration presents a continuous process. At present the question of cultural diversity is reaching its foreground together with respect for cultural and language differences. A joint aim of all integration centres and institutions in the Czech Republic is to overcome the emergence of closed communities formed by immigrants or their total elimination from a society. The centres thrive to maintain easy-going cohabitation of all inhabitants regardless of their native country. According to non-profit organisations, among the priorities in the integration of foreigners which lead to their successful inclusion into the society belong the knowledge of the Czech language, economic self-sufficiency, orientation in a society and mutual relations between the foreigners and a majority society. The aim of the paper is to highlight the current issues through research among the public in a selected location focused on foreigners living on Czech territory.
