Original language description
The chapter was published in a book Cultural and Ethnic Diversity. How Europeans Psychologists Can Meet the Challenges. The editor of the book was Prof. Alexander Thomas of Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule, Regensburg. The chapter in question deals with a methodological problem, specifically with the question if there are cultural and/or ideological influences in psycholgical theories of work motivation. The authors try to find the answer to the question mentioned by means of semiotic analysis, and they put forward a research program which may help to disclose additional knowledge concerning it.
