EVM modification based on human factor influence to project budget estimate at completion
Original language description
Any project as a unique sequence of tasks is a subject to the human agent impact. This article aims to analyze the design and use of nonlinear modification of BCWS (Budgeted Cost for Work Scheduled) parameter within EVM (Earned Value Management) for monitoring project planned progress respecting human factor impact on the actual work effort. The EVM tools very often measure duration of project activities, where the BCWS is a key parameter. In our previous approach, we focused on human factor influence to BCWS only now we focus on its influence to a more complex EVM parameter estimating final project budget - EAC (Estimate at Completion). Work effort of a resource is hidden beyond majority of project parameters, including EVM. Such influence generates nonlinearity, which is usually ignored in estimations. Linear estimation can be doubtful and thus to express the BCWS, consequently EAC, non-linear mathematical models are used. Correct nonlinear estimate proposed in this paper helps to reduce cone of un
