Economic valuation of model cases of rainwater utilization
Original language description
The aim of the article is to quantify the savings of drinking water in agriculture on selected model cases of production and administrative buildings. The partial goal is to quantify the savings of water and sewer rates and then calculate the payback period of the investment in equipment for water collection and filtration. The article uses this data: CHMI (frequency and abundance of precipitation), estimate of the average price of water, price of collection and filtration equipment, water consumption when feeding 40 and 110 dairy cows, parameters of the hall/non-production building. Rainwater harvesting is affected by losses (runoff coefficient) given the type of roofing. The equation RWH is used to calculate the volume of allocated rainwater.
