Information systems create support for business processes in order to optimise them, based on experience from the processes within similar businesses. Only a few of them manage information processing in the field of tactical and strategic planning, and almost none manage processing in the field of gathering, distributing, and sharing knowledge in a company. It can be said that investments in IT do not guarantee a successful way of managing information and knowledge in a company.
