Disaggregated CGE Model of Czech Agriculture for Policy Impact Assessment
Original language description
The research results, presented at the Summer School SEEPIA, introduced a dynamic computable general equilibrium (CGE) model designed to assess the economic impacts of selected agricultural policy instruments in the Czech Republic. The model is based on a Social Accounting Matrix constructed from national accounts and Supply and Use Tables for 2018, with a detailed disaggregation of agricultural sectors, households (agricultural vs. non-agricultural), and the foreign sector (EU and Rest of the World). The framework allows for simulations of alternative policy scenarios, such as subsidy reforms and trade policy changes, and evaluates their effects on agriculture, other sectors, household welfare, public finances, and long-term economic dynamics.
