Yield comparison of hybrid and conventional winter oilseed rape varieties depending on yield level of location
Original language description
Results of the 5 (4) years´ small plot trials are described in this paper. They show, that in descending line of location yields hybrid varieties decreased their yields more rapidly than the conventional ones. This drift is especially noticeable by restored hybrids PRONTO and ARTUS. Slightly higher heterosis stability was observed by varietal associations BETTY and SYNERGY. Based on our experience, practical use of hybrid varieties in extensive conditions is not efficient. More suitable is intensive cropping on fertile soils, where these plants can realize their huge yield potential. In case of composite hybrids there is a risk of not sufficient pollination, which should be minimalized by suitable precautions.
