Combination and comparison of four decomposition and four measuring techniques in elemental analysis of two candidate reference materials.
Original language description
Majority of methods used in trace element analysis of biological materials requires that the analyzed sample is transferred into the liquid form and its organic matrix is removed as efficiently as possible. There is a broad spectrum of decomposition methods all of which, however, have certain advantages as well as limitations. Their usefulness can be evaluated only when combined with the concrete measuring technique. Our study, of which the present abstract deals with three (Ca, Mn, Ni) of the total 12analyzed elements, contributes in evaluation of selected combinations of four decomposition (classical and Apion dry ashing; HPA and microwave wet digestions) with four measuring techniques (AAS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, DPASV).
