Original language description
In 1995 - 1997 years there was investigated effect of different ecological conditions of potato growing agricultural regions (more humid, cooler and lesser fertile) and beet growing agricultural regions (drier, warmer and fertile) on tuber yield, cookingquality value, resistance of tubers against mechanical damage, dry matter content, reducing sugar content, and nitrate content. In average of three years it was found favourable effect of potato growing region on tuber yield (+ 17.7 %) a nitrate content(- 21.2 %). In beet growing region there was determined tendency to better level of total cooking quality value (by 6.2 %), lower reducing sugar content( by 21.4 %), higher resistance to mechanical damage (by 20.7 % lesser damaged tubers on Electronic Pendulum MIDAS 88PP). Growing region practically did not affect dry matter content (only by 0.9 % in favour of beet growing region).
