Content of polyphenolic compounds in the potato tubers affected by the growing conditions and the variety.
Original language description
In three year trials it was determined significantly higher total TP content (46.25 mg 100g-1) in potato tubers from traditional potato regions of CR in comparison with drier and warmer regions of lower above sea levels (43.50 mg 100g-1). There were found highly significant differences of TP contents between two used varieties; TP content was higher in the Karin variety (52.89 mg 100g-1) than in Agria variety (36,85 mg 100g-1). Variety influence was more apparent than locality influence. In potatoes cultivated in ecological way in three-year period higher TP content was found in tubers (47.64 mg 100g-1) than in the potatoes cultivated in conventional way (43.20 mg 100g-1).
