Original language description
Five species of predatory bugs of the genus Orius are used for biological pests control in greenhouses in Europe at the present time: O. insidious (Say), O. laevigatus (Fieber), O. majusculus (Reuter), O. minutus (Linnaeus) and O. tristicolor (White). The use of other species is discussed: O. albidipennis (Reuter), O. niger (Wolff), O. sauteri (poppius), O. tantillus (Moschultsky) and O. vicinus (Ribaut). The occurence of particular species, their predatory ability and the possibilities of using them inbiological control are rewied in this publication.
