Altogether five species have been discovered in the study area, which represents 50.0 % of the total known fauna of the Czech Republic (83.3 % of the fauna of Bohemia). Two species, viz., Dixa nubilipennis and D. submaculata, are first recorded here in Bohemia. Localities most suitable for preserving members of the family Dixidae are as follows: floodplain woods near Duchcov, Štěpánov and a small pond near Lom (each supporting two species).
