Six species listed above represent 23 % of the total Czech trichocerid fauna. The five Trichocera species are all common and widely distributed in Europe, occurring throughout the Czech Republic at all altitudes. Diazosma hirtipenne, although likewise occurring over a wide geographic range, may be considered a rare species.
