Analysis of factors influencing the performance of English Thoroughbred horses in the Czech Republic
Original language description
The general handicap of two, three and four year old horses was analysed in the Czechoslovak Republic in the years 1968 - 1993 and in the Czech Republic in the years 1994-1996 with the least squares method with regard to these factors: year of birth (racing season), sex, sire, dam´s general handicap and age. There is no demand for using the dam´s age as a factor for the breeding value estimation.
