Original language description
Chickens were infected with oocysts of Cryptosporidium baileyi at the age of 1,2 and 3 weeks. Performance parameters (gain, feed conversion, mortality) were worse in infected chickens than in control chickens, but differences were not significant or small. Output of oocysts in infected chickens varied from 1000 to 6x 10000 per g of excreta. Moderate health problems (breathing difficulties) were observed in infected chickens, 2 weeks after infection.
