Institutions are limitations developed by people which introduce a structure in human behaviour. They consist of formal limitations (rules, laws, constitutions), informal limitations (standards of behaviour, habits and conventions applied by individuals)and of the ways of their observance. The development of standards of behaviour takes a substantially longer time. In any country it is possible to trace the interdependence of the development of institutions and economic standard of the country.
