Original language description
All species of Stenomicridae are infrequently recorded in the whole of Europe; this is surely mainly due to their minute size and practically unknown biology. Stenomicra delicata, the only species known from the Czech Republic (reported from one localityeach in Bohemia and Moravia - ROHÁČEK 1995), belongs to rarest acalyptrates in the country. The finding of the species near Duchcov (locality No. 1 - floodplain forest) is important not only because it represents the second record from Bohemia but also inasmuch as it confirms the occurrence of the species in wet forested (not open) habitat and that the 2 specimens were again collected in the Malaise trap.
