Original language description
Caprylic acid is a natural antimicrobial compound of the rabbit milk fat. Two experiments were carried out to assess the effect of caprylic acid on growth, feed conversion and mortality of rabbits. Caprylic acid had no effect on performance of rabbots inour experiments. Caprylic acid decreased mortality of young rabbits. Its effect, however, was statistically significant only rabbitry with lower standard of animal hygiene.
