Original language description
The addition of focus in the amount corresponding to 2 mg iodine/ kg feed positively affects the effectiveness of broiler chicken fattening which is confirmed by: 1) degrease of feed conversion per 1 kg of gain. 2) significantly higer body weight gains 3) the decrease of the total cholesterol contents 4) the decrease of carcass fatness. It can be assumed that these effects result from the stimulation of thyroid gland activity caused by the use of iodine.
