Forage quality of new Czech strains of Medicago media (ŽE XLI, ŽE XLII, ŽE XLV) were compared with cultivar Jarka (Medicago sativa L.) by three-times cut stands with different treatment (no treatment, harrow and roller after each cut). There was observedcontent of NL, ash, PDI, fibre, ADF, NDF and NE. There were no significant diffrences among cultivar Jarka and new strains in observed parameters. The first term of cut had statistically significant higher contents of NEL, NEV (P 0,01) and PDIE (P 0,0 1). The third cut had significantly lower content of PDI (P 0,05), NL and higher concentration of fibre (P 0,01) than second cut. Sequence of cuts as well as development stage of stands are more important factor for forage quality than cultivars or treatment. Relationships among observed parameters were evaluated by simple regression.
