A b s t r a c t. 129 faecal specimens, two digestive tracts and feathers from black grouse (Tetrao tetrix) collected during the year 2002 (89 faecal specimens) and january - july 2003 (40 faecal specimens) were examined parasitologically. In the 2002 parasite eggs or oocystes were found in 42,70 % (38/89) of the examined faecal specimens. In monitored area black grouse (Tetrao tetrix) was parazited by a) cestode Hymenolepis sp. (28,09 %) with high prevalence (84,21 %) and mean intensity (1075,5 eggs pergram of faeces) in spring, aa) nematodes (23,60 %) Trichostrongylus tenuis, and Ascaridia compar with mean intensity 11 eggs or pre-infective larvae in 1 g of faeces, and 3,37 % (3/89) with mean intensity 11,67, respectivelly, aaa) by coccidia (Eimeria lyruri). Coccidia infections were in the year 2002 presented only in spring in 1,12 % (1/89) of faecal specimens, with intensity 35 oocysts in 1 g of faeces.
