Výběr vhodných modelů pro odhad genetických parametrů u masného skotu

  • Original language description

Five models for the estimation of variance and covariance components for the direct and maternal additvie genetic effects were analysed for the weaning weight of calves in the beef cattle breed charolais. The data included 4806 animals, 150 sires, 1403 dams and 460 contemporary groups. The BLUP animal model with fixed and random effects was used. Into the model III and IV the interactions sire x year and sire x herd were included. The most suitable model was the model II which comprised mutually correlated direct and maternal additvie genetic effects and the permanent maternal environmental effect.
