SPECIES RICHNESS OF AGROPHYTOCENOSES IN SELECTED AGRICULTURAL COMPANIES WITH CONVENTIONAL AND ORGANIC FARMING SYSTEMS

  • Original language description

In 2004, the phytocoenological survey was carried out in four agricultural companies in different agricultural production regions in the Czech Republic. The farms either apply principles of organic farming for a long time, or use conventional farming system. It was observed weed species richness in winter cereals and root crops. The results of survey confirmed higher weed species richness in agrophytocenoses with organic farming management. The significant differences between both organic farms were noted, as well.
