In the period 1993 ? 2004 three types of soils were tested: chernozems (6.33 % of the Czech Republic area), regosols (0.92 %), rendzic leptosols (0.23 %); and so it resume on the data published about cambisols and luvisols, which form dominated part (68.5 %) of the Czech Republic area (Růžek et al., 2004)*. 12yr?dynamics of soil organic carbon [Corg], total nitrogen [Nt] and ten soil microbial parameters (microbial biomass carbon [MBC], carbon extractable by 0.5 mol/L K2SO4 [EC], basal and potential respiration [BR; PR], control and potential ammonification [CA; PA], control and potential nitrification [CN; PN], and three ratios: EC/MBC, MBC/Corg and BR/MBC) were measured in chernozem ( 77 samples), regosol (65 samples) and rendzic leptosol (75 samples). In all cases arable soils with conventional tillage were tested.
