The changes of As, Cd, Cu, Pb, and Zn mobility in soil in three-year pot experiment as affected by various forms of organic matter

  • Original language description

In our experiment, element fractions extractable either by single or sequential extraction procedures from the soil after addition of different types of organic matter were compared and assessed. In the end of the experiment the plant-available portionsof Cd, Cu, and Zn determined in 0.01 mol.l-1 CaCl2 extracts slightly increased regardless of soil amendment including control while available As and Pb remained unaffected suggesting more the effect of willow plantation than organic matter additions on element mobility. Also sequential extraction procedure determining exchangeable, bound on Fe-Mn oxides, and organically bound element fractions did not show unambiguous trends in changes of element mobility in soil.
