At present it is grown on about 90 ha of arable lands. The main substance in the floret (of medicinal Chamomile(Matricaria recutita L.) is 1.6-3% of essential oils. The most important and the oldest variety in the Czech Republic is the variety Bohemia ? licenced in 1952 in the Czech Republic (at that time former Czechoslovakia). The variety of Bohemia is a diploid variety, the content of 0.47% of essentail oils is standard, out of which there are over 36% of bisabololoxid A and 20% of azulen.
