Vliv polymerního obalu na klíčení vybraných druhů trav l
Original language description
Sowing in alternative periods of year (late autumn, winter or early spring) is one of the possibilities of forage stands establishment. The protection of grass seeds (caryopsis) with polymer seed coating for these periods of sowing is debatable. The laboratory experiment with polymer film-coated and non-coated seeds of Lolium perenne L. (cv. Kentaur), Festuca pratensis L. (cv. Bi6) and Dactylis glomerata L. (cv. Niva) were carried out. Grass seeds enveloped with Extender? and fungicide (metalaxyl) weretested for their germinability under water stress conditions (-0.2, -0.5 MPa), simulated by solutions of polyethylene glycol (PEG 6000) at 20°C and 16 hour light regime. The aim of the study was to determine the protection of polymer seed coating under different conditions of water availability. The seed coating did not influence the germination of grass seeds at 0MPa, but at -0.2 and -0.5MPa there was significant difference of one week between coated and non-coated seeds in L. perenne a
